La Tabatière
La Tabatière is where the largest fish plant on the Lower North Shore is situated. Having no roads to the outside world, there is a pleasant solitude here. Formerly a mainly seal based economy, now fishermen fish mostly for crab and lobster, or work in the plant processing fresh fish. The name itself is derived from a Montagnais word meaning sorcerer, so come visit us and let the local enchant you.
