Harrington Harbour is the only community on the coast that is not on the mainland. It is about 7 km off shore on a rocky island surrounded by a few smaller islands forming a protected bay for fishing. One of the biggest attractions for Harrington Harbour is the wooden boardwalks which connect all the houses together over the rocky terrain. Summer bird watchers will enjoy the nearby bird sanctuary, and there are many opportunities for hikes or rides out to the smaller islands. In the winter, one can ice fish or snowmobile, not to mention the annual winter carnival.
