The Coasters' Association membership and executive is scattered across the communities of the Lower North Shore, and many of the projects undertaken by the Association require significant fiscal investment. The internal workings of the Association consistently works within this state of affairs.
Communication with the membership and citizens of the Coast is accomplished in a variety of ways: research on behalf of the public into legal issues, transport and heritage is disseminated through the Coastar newspaper and public gatherings.
The Coasters' executive meet on many occasions, with additional phone and mail communication keeping all informed. Smaller committees also meet on issues such as the state of youth, tourism, etc. The executive also attends outside meetings to inform itself on issues such as fisheries, transportation, education, health and social services, etc.
Here is the list of the Coasters' Association Board of Directors:

In addition to grants and donations, the Coasters' Association funds some of its initiatives (youth, seniors, etc) through the sale of Coasters' merchandise. This includes copies of books and reports, clothing emblazoned with the Coasters' logo, raffle tickets and the ever-popular souvenirs with the engraving of the Lower North Shore students. The Coasters fund raising drives require a coordinator, due to the increasing demand of the items.
Through the selling of various articles, the Coasters' Association has, in the past, been able to finance numerous helpful projects that benifit the coast greatly. All articles are well worth acquiring for the sake of their authenticity and natural beauty as well as for the fact that the money raised will go to a good cause.
